2008 Election Recap After a long and very busy 2008 election season, we are thrilled to report wins for 7 of the 10 WLCV PAC-supported candidates! Pro-conservation candidates heading to the state legislature include:
The three defeats were nail-biters! Paul Tubbs earned 49.7% of the vote in AD 34, and Stan Gruszynski earned 48.5% of the vote in AD 36. Jessica King earned 49.8% of the votes in SD 18, missing a win by just 184 votes. Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters supported two pro-conservation candidates in the primary. Both Dick Spanbauer and Nick Milroy emerged winners! Sleet nor rain nor cold could stop us from campaigning in the Northwoods where we supported Paul Tubbs, Stan Gruszynski, and Jim Holperin.
